To provide a transmission type display device that allows a driver to readily and easily understandably manage a status of a specific autonomous operation among a plurality of pre-set autonomous operations by selecting a target object in an external view seen through a transmission type display section using an aiming image.
The transmission type display device 10 includes: the transmission type display section 11 which displays an image 12a superimposed on at least one part of the external view seen through a region enclosed by a predetermined frame 11a; an external object recognition section 13 for recognizing external objects 11x; an instruction input section 14 for instructing and inputting a target object among the external objects 11x by operating the aiming image 12; an autonomous operation determination section 15 for determining a pre-registered autonomous operation corresponding to the external objects 11x recognized by the external object recognition section 13 by an instruction from the instruction input section 14; and an autonomous operation control section 16 for controlling the status of the autonomous operation.
