First speed increasing gear pairs 17 being a transmission passage for forming a high speed shift stage, are arranged between the first counter shaft 5 and an output shaft 4. Second speed increasing gear pairs 18 being a transmission passage for forming a shift stage lower by one stage than the high speed shift stage are arranged between the second counter shaft 6 and the output shaft 4 adjacently to these first speed increasing gear pairs 17. A first speed increasing side shift mechanism 19 is arranged for freely engaging and disengaging a gear 17a on the first counter shaft of the first speed increasing gear pairs 17 and the first counter shaft 5. A second speed increasing side shift mechanism 20 is arranged for freely engaging and disengaging a gear 18a on the second counter shaft of the second speed increasing gear pairs 18 and the second counter shaft 6. The first speed increasing side shaft mechanism 19 and the second speeds increasing gear pairs 18, and the second speed increasing shift mechanism 20 and the first speed increasing gear pairs 17, are respectively overlapped in the axial direction.
