Abstract:
To provide a light transmitter that automatically directs a light transmission opening toward a surveying instrument.SOLUTION: A light transmitter comprises: a light transmitter main body for transmitting tracking guide light; a drive portion for driving the light transmitter main body in horizontal rotation; an inertial measurement device for measuring accelerations of the light transmitter main body in three axial directions; an angle detector for detecting a rotation angle of the light transmitter main body; a light transmitter communication portion for transmitting and receiving information; and a light transmitter control portion for performing arithmetic processing of a measured value of the inertial measurement device and of the angle detector, control of the light transmitter communication portion, control of the transmission of the tracking guide light by the light transmitter main body, and control of the rotation of the drive portion. The light transmitter control portion receives a horizontal direction angle of the surveying instrument by the light transmitter communication portion, and calculates, as an angle, a difference between a light transmission direction of the tracking guide light and an azimuth angle to the surveying instrument from the measured value of the inertial measurement device and a measured value of the angle detector, rotationally drives the drive portion such that the light transmission direction of the tracking guide light faces the surveying instrument, and transmits the tracking guide light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
