To provide a transmitter which does not need to remove a protection cover and a retainer frame in every inspection.

A transmitter includes: a push button switch; a main body to which a pressing hole for the push button switch is opened; a protection cover made of an elastic member to protect the push button switch and provided corresponding to the pressing hole; and a protection cover retainer frame integral with the protection cover and engaged with the main body. Since the transmitter can be operated by actually pressing the push button switch by bending the protection cover in a pressing direction at the time of the periodic inspection owing to the protection cover made of the elastic member, removal of the protection cover and the protection cover retainer frame can be avoided in every inspection in order not to damage the protection cover.
