A LAN is formed by the head end 201 and the transmission line 300 of a CATV center 200. A host device 202 for originating contents and the host device 101 of a subscriber's home 100 are connected to the transmission line 300. A plurality streams of contents information are transmitted from the host device 202 to an incoming transmission line 301 by a broadcasting method. The host device 101 at the subscriber's home 100 receives the streams which are transmitted via an outgoing transmission line 302. A socket is designated in each stream by a destination port number, and the host device 101 sets the socket so that the streams are received, recorded and abandoned in real time.
