Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make an efficient optical communication by accurately detecting reception light and accurately controlling the transmitting direction of transmission light. CONSTITUTION:The transmitting and receiving optical device which has an objective optical system 24, a light source means 30 which is arranged on one of optical paths branched by a polarization beam splitter 22 for branching the optical path of the objective optical system 24 and supplies specific polarized light for transmission, and a received light photodetecting means 38 which is arranged on the other optical path uses two polarization beam splitters 22 and 38a and is provided with a received light photodetection member 38c which receives sent reception light and a transmission light photodetection member 38b which photodetects part of light sent from its light source means 30 as the photodetecting means 38, thereby independently detecting light sent from the opposite side and transmission light sent by itself. Then a 1st optical path adjusting means 50 and a 2nd optical path adjusting means 33 are adjusted respectively to independently adjust the optical paths of the transmission light and reception light.
