PURPOSE: To obtain the titled enamel frit which can be calcined at the A1 transformation point of iron or below and provides superior shelf stability and dipping properties to glaze by blending SiO2 with B2O3, F2, Na2O, K2O, Li2O, CaO, BaO, ZnO, ZrO2 and Al2O3.
CONSTITUTION: The titled enamel frit contains, by weight, 32W45% SiO2, 7W 20% B2O3, 2W9% F2, 14W22% Na2O, 0.4W5% K2O, 0.3W2% Li2O, 1.5W15% CaO, 1.5W15% BaO, 0.1W5% ZnO, 0.5W4.5% ZrO2 and 0.5W5% Al2O3. The enamel frit can be calcined at the A1 transformation point (723°C) of iron or blow, so little strain is produced by calcination to enable the use of a thin plate. Resources and energy can be saved, and enamelware can be reduced in weight. Glaze can be stored for a long period, glazing can be carried out by dipping, and enamelware with superior water resistance can be manufactured.
