PURPOSE: To produce a transparent resin film coating plated steel sheet excellent in brightness and working corrosion resistance at a low cost by thermally melt- sticking a bright chromium plated layer of specified coating weight to the surface of a low carbon steel sheet having specified surface roughness and furthermore a thermoplastic transparent resin film having specified thickness thereon.
CONSTITUTION: As for a full-finished low carbon steel sheet with about 0.1 to 1.5mm sheet thickness subjected to annealing and skinpass rolling, the average roughness is regulated to ≤0.1μm and the maximum roughness to ≤1μm. On this surface, a bright chromium plated layer of 50 to 300mg/m2 in terms of the content of metal Cr is formed. Moreover, on one side or both sides of the plated surface are thermally melt-stuck a transparent resin film with 10 to 50μm thickness having thermal plasticity via an adhesive having a m.p. lower than that of the same. In the case the average roughness of the plated original sheet is ≥0.2μm, preferably, the bright chromium plated layer is formed via a bright nickel plated layer.
