Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable sure inoculation of a microorganism to a medium, by attaching microorganisms, etc., to a tip of a transplantation needle, thrusting the needle into a medium and rotating the transplantation needle, thereby increasing the contacting area of the transplanting object and the medium.
CONSTITUTION: Microorganisms or cultured microorganisms (e.g. colony) are attached to a tip of a transplantation needle 20 and transplanted to a medium 40 in a Petri dish 30. In the above process, the transplantation needle 20 is thrust into the medium 40, rotated in the thrust state and pulled out. The needle is preferably rotated at least one revolution and especially the rotation is reciprocated.
