PURPOSE: To clear weight restriction by reducing the weight during transportation and to enable transport of a capacitor of a single unit with large capacitor without affecting capacitor characteristics by transporting the capacitor after extracting impregnated insulation oil from the capacitor.
CONSTITUTION: Two 15μm-thick polypropylene films are laminated and wound between electrode foils comprised of aluminum foil and a capacitor is constituted. After a plurality of capacitor elements are arranged parallel and fastened, they are heated and dried in vacuum, aromatic insulation oil is impregnated into them, overheat treatment is carried out and a capacitor is completed. After the capacitor prepared in this way is evacuated, it is stored for 20 days as it is evacuated. Thereafter, it became clear that characteristic of the capacitor does not change in capacitance and dielectric loss even if the same insulation oil is impregnated again. The partial starting voltage lowered immediately after the second impregnation; however, it recovered its value obtained in manufacturing after 24 hours.
