To provide a vehicle for transporting persons on the ground having irregular surfaces.
A ground contact module movably mounted on a support body for supporting persons is so operated as to support the persons in the support body on the surface. The orientation of the ground contact module defines fore-aft and lateral planes intersecting one another at a vertical position. The support body and the ground contact module are components of an assembly. A drive device with a motor fitted to the assembly and coupled to the ground contact module moves the assembly and the persons following the assembly on the surface. The embodiment has a control loop. The drive device with the motor is included in the control loop. The control loop dynamically increases the stability of the ground contact module in the fore-aft and lateral planes by operating the drive device with the motor.
