Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and efficiently perform drainage water treatment by a method wherein drainage water contg. ethanolamine is kept at a specified pH or lower and it is treated with an aerobic microorganism to decompose ethanolamine. SOLUTION: A drainage water (a) under a condition where in the drainage water contg. NaOH base and ethanolamine.HCl, hydrazine is incorporated and mixed, is transferred in a storage tank 1, wherein the drainage water is once stored and it is introduced into a mixing tank 2. Then, the mixed liq. (d) is introduced into an aeration tank 3, wherein the mixed liq. (d) is mixed with a microorganismic liq. contg. hydrazine-resistant Pseudomonas sp.ETA-1 as a dominant and they are aerated and mixed with air (e). Here, ethanolamine is decomposed into carbon dioxide, water and ammonium ion and, simultaneously, a part of hydrazine is decomposed to ammonium ion. The value of pH in this case is held at 7.0 or lower.
