Abstract:

To provide a treatment method for efficiently separating and recovering the gold remaining in a platinum-group-element-containing solution obtained from a matter containing selenium and/or tellurium and platinum group elements.

The method for separating the gold from the platinum-group-element-containing solution comprises steps of: applying alkali treatment to the matter containing selenium and/or tellurium and platinum group elements to separate it into a selenium- and/or tellurium-containing leachate and a platinum-group-element-containing residue; adding hydrochloric acid to the platinum-group-element-containing residue in the presence of an oxidizing agent and then carrying out solid-liquid separation; and adding hydroxylamine hydrochloride to the resultant platinum-group-element-containing solution after filtration to selectively reduce and precipitate the gold.
