PURPOSE: To provide a treatment method which facilitates the control of a bromide removal operation.

CONSTITUTION: This method for treatment of silver halide photographic material which treats a developing soln. in order to remove developer seasoning product and replenishes this developing soln. with a replenishing liquid component of the volume small enough to substantially avert the occurrence of overflow, includes a stage for continuously removing substantially all of the bromide ions from the developing soln. and treating the developing soln. by using means for holding the developing soln. which does not substantially contain the bromide ions during the operation of this method.
