Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably obtain a high-quality treated water by continuously treating a waste water contg. nitrogen compds. with the concn. varying with time.
CONSTITUTION: A raw water contg. nitrogen compds. is controlled to pH 9.5, an oxidizing agent or a reducing agent is added to the water, and the water is passed through a metallic catalyst-packed tower 8 to decompose the nitrogen compds. Plural storage tanks 1, 2 and 3 are provided, the raw water is introduced successively into the storage tanks, the pH and nitrogen compd. concn. are measured, pH is regulated, and then the pH-regulated water is delivered. The pH and nitrogen compd. concn. of the water are measured successively in the tanks 1, 2 and 3, and the waste water contg. nitrogen compds. with the concn. varying with time or contingently generated is continuously and efficiently treated in this way to obtain high-quality treated water.
