Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain a trifluoromethylacetylene derivative useful as a liquid crystal, an insulating material, a static developing toner, an intermediate raw material, etc., for medicines and agrochemicals by reacting a specific lithiumtrifluoromethylacetylide with a specific carbonyl compound.
CONSTITUTION: This trifluoromethylacetylene derivative of formula III is obtained by reacting lithium trifluoromethylacetylide of formula I obtained by reacting 2-bromo-3,3,3-trifluoropropene with lithium diisopropyl amide with a carbonyl compound of formula II [R1 is a (cyclo)alkyl, an (alkyl)aryl, an alkenylaryl, etc., R2 is H or an alkyl]. Furthermore, e.g. compounds of formula IV to VI each is a new compound among the derivatives.
