Title:
TROIDAL CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001263449
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a troidal continuously variable transmission structure which can ensure the sufficient torque flowing in a continuously variable transmission in a low-mode condition, preferably, in the low load, and more preferably, in the forward start condition, and maintain the excellent controllability by stably tilting a power roller.

In the low mode, the engine torque Te is transmitted to a planetary gear mechanism 50 in a path A via an input shaft 11, a loading cam 40, troidal continuously variable transmission mechanisms 21, 23, 34; 31, 33 and 34, and a high-mode gear train 90, and directly transmitted to the planetary gear mechanism 50 in a path B via a first gear 81 of the low-mode gear train 80 on the input shaft 11, and a low-mode clutch 60. An oil pump 7 as a power loss element is disposed between a power branch point 81 and continuously variable transmission mechanisms 20 and 30. The circulating torque Tr in the direction C is increased, and the torque flowing in the continuously variable transmission mechanisms 20 and 30 is increased.
