Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a troubleshooting device for an evaporated fuel treating device capable of judging if any leak exists at the evaporated fuel treating device while an internal-combustion engine is stopped quickly using a comparatively simple constitution.
SOLUTION: Data is acquired about the pressure change amount DP at certain intervals of the intra-tank pressure PTANK which represents the pressure in this evaporated fuel treating device 40, and the gradient A of the returning straight line L1 is determined. The gradient A is the parameter equivalent to the second grade differential of the intra-tank pressure PTANK. When the absolute of the gradient A is greater than the threshold ATH for judging, it is judged so that a leak exists at the device 40.
