Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress the erosion and damage of the inside of a tundish nozzle for continuous casting and to improve the durability of the nozzle by forming at least the tip part of the inside of the nozzle made of a zirconia-based material with a zirconia-based material contg. Y2O3.
CONSTITUTION: A zirconia-based material 2 consisting of ≤10wt.% Y2O3 and ≥80wt.% ZrO2 is joined to at least the tip of the inside of a tundish nozzle 1 for continuous casting made of a zirconia-based material contg. ≥80wt.% ZrO2.
