Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve rigidity of a twist beam, and reduce a change in an oversteer side steering angle to lateral force by forming the twist beam of a twist beam type suspension in a single curve shape where a central part of the beam is formed in a projecting shape.
CONSTITUTION: A twist beam 1 is formed in a U-shaped cross-sectional shape whose front is opened, and has a curve part 1r curving upward in a projecting shape in one place of the axle center so as not to interfere with a propeller shaft even if it is displaced downward, and straight line parts 1s are formed on its both ends so as to become an almost straight line shape. In a curve shape of ther curve part 1r, a radius of curvature is the smallest in the vehicle center, and is made large as it separates from the vehicle center, and since a curve structure in the upward direction is formed as a structure that a curve part is arranged by one in a vehicle center part, a radius of curvature of the curve part can be secured larger than a conventional one, and since a bending part is formed in the vehicle center part, rigidity is improved.
