Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a developer ensuring rapid rising of electrostatic charge, not causing fog or the scattering of a toner, not breaking a carrier even in a thin layer developing process and having high durability and to provide an image forming method.
CONSTITUTION: The developer consisting of a carrier and colored toner particles contg. at least a bonding resin and a colorant is formed into a thin layer having 20-800μm thickness with a developer regulator and an electrostatic latent image on a latent image forming body (photoreceptor) is developed by noncontact development to form an image. The carrier is a negative charge type carrier for a developer obtd. by coating magnetic particles with magnesium compd. particles and a resin.
