Title:
TWO-STEP METHOD FOR DESULFURIZING ARSENIC-CONTAINING OLEFINIC GASOLINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009127050
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To achieve, in a fixed bed method for capturing the arsenic and for desulfurizing a hydrocarbon fraction containing olefins, sulfur and arsenic, better compromise between the hydrogenating desulfurization activity as well as HDS/HDO selectivity and the capture of the arsenic on the capturing mass.

The two-step method comprises (a) a process for contacting a capturing mass with the hydrocarbon fraction concerned in the presence of hydrogen, and the capturing mass concerned comprises molybdenum in the form of a sulfide and nickel in the form of a sulfide; and at least one of a porous carrier selected from the group consisting of aluminas, silica, silica-aluminas, titanium oxide and magnesium oxide, having a nickel content of 10-28 wt.% (expressed as a percentage of nickel oxide on the capturing mass before sulfurization), and having a molybdenum content of 0.3-2.1 wt.% (expressed as a percentage of molybdenum oxide on the capturing mass before sulfurization).
