To provide a U-shaped hook button which can be utilized for an usual type holding by overlapping opening fringes of a dress shirt, other shirts, a blouse, and a casual jacket, etc., and can also be simply utilized for holding by joining both inner surfaces of the opening fringes of the dress shirt, although employment of conventional cuff links have been limited to holding by joining both inner surfaces of dress shirt cuffs, because the cuff link has a long inserting portion owing to a rotatably movable type of hook pin.

A length of a portion equivalent to the rotatably movable type of hook pin can be reduced to about less than one-third by forming the length portion as a U hook (1) shape, and operations such as attaching by inserting, holding by fitting, releasing a hold, and pulling out can be done by simple handling. Besides, preferable appearance can be provided because, by providing the U hook (1) with a passage (6) for a thread bunch as claimed in claim 2, the holding by overlapping the cuffs in said clothes can be done by another simpler handling, an utilizational sphere is extended to neck and breast parts, and that a low cost manufacturing can be made.
