PURPOSE: To reduce the sound of the water droplet in a tank and to attain to prevent false burning at the time of the oblique use or falling of the titled apparatus, by integrally providing several inclined silencing plates equipped with slits to the bottom part of an atomizing tank.

CONSTITUTION: Several inclined silencing plates 11 provided with slits 12 are integrally arranged to the bottom part of an atomizing tank 8 in such a state that the surface of atomized water 6 except the periphery of a piezoelectric vibrator 1 is not viewed from above. By this constitution, water droplets falling from the periphery of an atomized column 4 are not directly fallen to the surface of water 6 and, because said water droplets are guided to the surface of water through the inclined sound arresting plates 11, the sound of water droplets is attenuated to a large extent. When an atomizing apparatus is used in an inclined state, water flows through the slits 12 because the tank 8 is divided by the inclined sound arresting plates 11 and, therefore, the flow of water is delayed and the flow of water present on the piezoelectric vibrator 1 is also delayed and a float switch 3 is operated prior to reaching a waterless- burning state to cut off a drive circuit 2.
