To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus equipped with three-dimensional display technology which performs pattern recognition processing while suppressing the decrease in a frame rate.
An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: an image construction part for constructing an image in which a three-dimensional object to be observed in the body of a subject is projected to a projection plane based on information obtained through ultrasonic transmission/reception repetition that repeats the transmission of ultrasonic waves to the inside of the subject's body and the reception of the ultrasonic waves that are reflected inside the body and returned; an image display part for displaying the image constructed in the image construction part; and a pattern recognition part for recognizing a three-dimensional object's pattern to be recognized based on the depth distribution information of the three-dimensional object.
