Abstract:

To provide a harmonic image in which depth direction resolution and signal intensity can be improved by wide-ranging of harmonic components to be provided for generating the image, and in which generation of motion artifact is restricted.

This ultrasonic diagnostic equipment is provided with means 11, 21, 25, and 26 for transmitting ultrasonic pulses to each scan line twice while changing central frequency number in a band, for example, means 11, 21, 22, 26, and 31 for receiving ultrasonic echo signals at every transmission of signals, and processing the ultrasonic echo signals to obtain reception signals for electric quantity, a filter 32 to conduct a filtration process of characteristics adapted to a band of respective harmonic components of the two reception signals received to each scan line, means 33 and 34 to synthesize two reception signals processed by the filter 32, and a display processor 24 and a monitor 13 to generate and display an image using the synthesized reception signals.
