Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily discern unit images that are needed to compose a three- dimensional ultrasonic image from other ones by inserting a marker to each of certain image among those many two-dimensional ultrasonic images which are obtained by real time basis.
SOLUTION: A number of two-dimensional ultrasonic images are obtaind by shifting in the linear direction during radlally scanning. To discriminate unit images necessary for threedimensional displaying from others, the obtained images are transmitted to a makcer inserter 29 to select two-dimensional ultrasonic images into which a marker is to be written by an image selecting part 33 which constitutes the marker inserter 29. Marker signals outputted by a marker signal generating part 34 are written into thus selected two-dimensional ultrasonic images.
