Title:
ULTRASONIC STIRRING DEVICE FOR LOW TEMPERATURE STORAGE TANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1163397
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely stir low temperature liquid by generating ultrasonic waves, which are provided with a frequency ranging from several Hz to several kHz and generate sound pressure higher than pressure of liquid in a tank bottom part, by means of ultrasonic transducers installed on the lower face of a bottom plate and side plates in a low temperature storage tank so as to generate bubbles from the tank bottom face. SOLUTION: Ultrasonic vibrators 2 are installed on the lower face of a bottom plate 1a and on side plates 1b in a low temperature storage tank 1, and a controller 3 including an oscillator is connected to the ultrasonic vibrators 2. From the oscillator in the controller 3, signals are fed to the ultrasonic transducers 2, and then, the ultrasonic transducers 2 are vibrated so as to generate ultrasonic waves with a frequency ranging from several Hz to several kHz. A sound pressure at this time is set to be higher than a pressure of liquid in the bottom plate 1a part in the low temperature storage tank 1, so that bubbles 5 are continuously generated from the bottom plate 1a face in the low temperature storage tank 1, and as a result, low temperature liquid 4 is stirred as shown by a stream line 6.
