An external seal 40 is provided on an outer circumferential part of a front wall part 16a of a casing 16 of the underwater mixer 24 so as to be slidably brought into contact with an outer circumferential part of the boss part 35 of the propeller 19, and the space between the outer circumferential part of the front wall part 16a of the casing 16 and the outer circumferential part of the boss part 35 of the propeller 19 is covered over the entire circumference by the external seal 40. An internal seal 44 is provided on the front wall part 16a of the casing in the vicinity of an output shaft 18 so as to be slidably brought into contact with a boss part rear face 35b of the propeller 19, and a space between the front wall part 16a of the casing 16 and the boss part rear face 35b of the propeller 19 is covered over the entire circumference by the internal seal 44.
