PURPOSE: To dispense with procedures for making squeegee pressure uniform and make the pressure adequately uniform by retaining the squeegee on a squeegee retaining part through an elastic device.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of coil springs 37 which are an elastic device are installed facing downward at both ends of a squeegee retaining part 17 provided at the lower end of a rod 25, and squeegees 9, 11 are supported at the lower end of the coil spring 37. If the squeegees 9, 11 are afloat from a screen 3, pin 41 comes in contact with the upper end of a slit hole 39, and the squeegees 9, 11 are prevented from dropping off due to the weight of the squeegees 9, 11 and the elastic force of the coil spring 37. A distance between the squeegees 9, 11 which is afloat from the screen 3 is constant due to the length of the slit hole 39. A press-down action is generated by a press-down device. The press-down force is regulated to such an extent that the pin 41 comes to the center of the slit hole 39. Further, the squeegees 9, 11 are pressed under a constant pressure against the screen 3 to become airtight between these two component parts by a elastic force set previously at an elastic device consisting of coil spring 37.
