PURPOSE: To provide a structure of embodying the unit as flat as possible in the axial direction of an impeller by constituting an electrical drive motor embodied as an axial field motor to be a peripheral feed pump, and improving the feed device for feeding fuel from a storage tank to the internal combustion engine of an automobile.

CONSTITUTION: The rotor part 19 of an axial field motor is arranged on an impeller 15 supporting blades 23 and rotating in a pump chamber, and it forms a common construction part together with the impeller. In this case, the rotor windings 21 of the rotor part is arranged on the outside in the radial direction of the impeller blades, even in the circular arc track formed by the blades 23 of a feed pump 11, and accordingly the permanent magnet 25 of the axial field motor 9 is arranged in a casing 8 so as to be opposite to the rotor windings 21 in the axial direction.
