In this unit for positioning the processing part of the crop, two or more switches 7a are arranged in a starting area of a transport conveyor 1 perpendicularly to the transporting direction of the conveyor, the crop N is laid on a transport table 1a of the transport conveyor 1 nearest to the starting area perpendicularly to the transporting direction of the conveyor. Thus, a signal is transmitted to a control means 7b from one of the switches 7a mounted on a line approximately corresponding to the part where the crop N is processed, by operating the switch 7a to position the part, so that a processing means is operated and the crop N is processed at the positioned part.
