Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a universal joint produced at a low cost and provided with a cylindrical oil controller made of oil-resistant plastic materials wherein the lubricating oil holding action and the filter action are improved by providing at least one porus filter ring on the outer surface on which a plurality of longitudinally extending ribs or grooves are uniformly provided in the circumferential direction.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of longitudinal ribs or grooves 11 uniformly distributed in the circumferential direction are formed on the outer surface of an oil controller 10, and these longitudinal ribs or grooves 11 are formed by being extended in the radial direction inward to the vicinity of the approximate center of the bottom surface from the bottom end edge of the outer surface of the oil controller, moreover at least one porous filter ring 15 is provided in the intermediate part on the outer surface of the oil controller.
