Abstract:
To provide an anechoic chamber capable of suppressing unnecessary radio waves such as lowering the detection accuracy of an object to be detected due to reflection of radar waves not hitting the object to be detected by an inner wall of the anechoic chamber.SOLUTION: In an anechoic chamber 1A, a radar device 2 and a radio wave absorbing panel 5 are arranged in a shield space 13 not affected by an electromagnetic wave from the outside and not leaking the electromagnetic wave to the outside, and an object 3 to be detected is arranged in an object-to-be-detected arrangement space 4A formed between them. The radio wave absorbing panel 5 is arranged so that a linearly polarized wave of a radar wave RW becomes a TM wave and the TM wave is inclined so as to be incident on a radio wave absorbing surface 51a at a Brewster angle θ, so that the radar wave RW is almost absorbed by a radio wave absorbing plate 51 having the absorbability of the TM wave. Thus, a reflected wave of the radar wave RW not hitting the object 3 to be detected can be prevented from being detected by the radar device 2 as an unnecessary radio wave.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
