Title:
UPPER SEAT FOR VALVE SPRING OF ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03111609
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simultaneously satisfy both requirements for a molding property and antiwear property by causing a predetermined amount of Fe to be included in an extruded material of quenched and solidified aluminum alloy powder. CONSTITUTION:An upper seat 1 is constituted of an aluminum alloy valve upper seat body 5 having a stepped part constituted to abut against one end of a valve spring 3 and a seat face part 6 formed with an abutting surface 6a. The valve upper seat body 5 is manufactured by forging and molding a high strength aluminum alloy material. An extruded material of quenched and solidified aluminum alloy powder is adapted to contain a predetermined amount of Fe. Thus, the degradation of antiwear property due to the reduction of the content rate of silicon grains to improve molding property can be compensated for by the addition of Fe.
