To provide an upper support supporting structure of a suspension for an automobile capable of further improving steering stability.
A bulging part 42 which bulges toward the upper side of a vehicle is provided between a fastening hole 32 and a fastening hole 32 formed in the flange 30 of an upper support 24. In other words, the bulging part 42 is provided on the upper support 24 beforehand to match the shape of a mounting part 26 which is deformed under a condition that the self-weight of an automobile is loaded on the mounting part 26 and the upper support 24. This structure enables the surface contact of the bulging part 42 with the upper support 24 even if the self-weight of the automobile is loaded on the mounting part 26 and the upper support 24. By maximizing the contact surface of the mounting part 26 with the upper support 24 this way, a load that acts on the mounting part 26 is dispersed and in appearance, the rigidity of the mounting part 26 can be increased. Thereby, the steering stability and other vehicle performances can be improved.
