To provide a user interface apparatus capable of carrying out all operations including switching of operation menus with simple operations using a remote controller.

Operations on a design operation menu 62 and switching operations of operation menus are executed in response to any one of upper / lower / left /right and entry commands on the basis of upper / lower / left /right keys and an enter key of the remote controller. Further, operations on a print operation menu 64 and switching operations of the operation menus are executed in response to any one of the upper / lower / left /right and the entry commands on the basis of the upper / lower / left /right keys and the enter key of the remote controller. For example, when a user depresses the right arrow key of the remote controller to select a print selection bar 254b in the case that the design operation menu 62 is displayed, the design operation menu 62 is shifted to the print operation menu 64. All the operations including the switching of the operation menus can be carried out by simple operations of the remote controller in this way.
