CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with fundamental media (a first IC card 30a) in which a retrieval software of a multi-function such as a retrieval function, a printing function, a data changing function, etc., of recorded information of a CD-ROM 20 is stored, and also, one kind or more of restrictive media (a second IC card 30b of a retrieval function and a printing function, a third IC card 30c of a retrieval function) in which a retrieval software with a function limit containing one or two or more additional functions except a retrieval function from the multi-function in the fundamental media, and one kind of arbitrary media in these plural media and the CD-ROM 20 are combined and used as a set.
