Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of accurately discriminating material of a floor surface.
CONSTITUTION: A floor nozzle is provided with a light emitting/receiving unit 1 having a light emitting element 1a whose focal length is set at a depth of a 'tatami' mat texture and a light receiving element 1b, and based on a regular digital signal from the light emitting/receiving unit 1 in accordance with peaks and bottom of the 'tatami' mat texture a type of a floor surface is discriminated.
