PURPOSE: To improve heating and cooling effects, and to heat and cool along the desired temp. curve, by uniting a heater and a cooling pipe to one body, arranging the body to the processing material at close quarters.
CONSTITUTION: In a muffle 20 arranged on a base plate 19 through an O ring seal 17, a material 1 to be brazed is supported on a stay 6 for preventing heat transfer, the united body composed of the heater 3a and the cooling pipe 23 joined thereto adjacently is provided to the material 1 at close quarters. The muffle 20 inside is evacuated to vacuum through exhausting pipe 13 under the state in which the muffle 20 is insulated thermally from outer air by an insulating layer 4. Next, electricity is conducted to the heater 3a through an introducing terminal 26 and an introducing wire 24, to heat the material 1 along a prescribed temp. curve and hold it at brazing temp. After holding for a prescribed time, electricity conduction is cut, cooling medium is passed to the pipe 23 from an introducing pipe 12a and an exhausting pipe 16a, to cool the material 1 in a short time without deteriorating atmosphere in the muffle 20.
