To provide a vacuum melting and casting apparatus, in which each operation of a melting furnace body for metal, etc., and a casting device, is rationalized and the idle time of the melting and casting chamber based on each operation, is reduced to obtain the high productivity.
The melting and casting chamber 11 and preparing chambers 31 at both sides thereof are adjacently arranged in the vacuum melting and casting apparatus 10 and also, two pieces of doors 16a, 16b having the size openable/closable to the opening part 13 at the back surface side of the melting and casting chamber 11 with one piece thereof, are fitted to the side edge faced to the opening part 13 through hinges 15a, 15b and respective melting furnace bodies 21a, 21b are tiltably supported at the inner surface side of the doors 16a, 16b. Further, a tundish 42 and a water-cooling rotating roll 44 as a casting device, are set on a shifting carriage 48 and travelled on a rail 44, and under the atmosphere, shifting cast units 411, 412 shiftable between the preparing chamber 31 and the melting and casting chamber 11, are disposed.
