Abstract:
To improve extraction of a lubricant from a rolling bearing in all installation situations that occur in practice, in a vacuum pump.SOLUTION: A vacuum pump 111 comprises a rotor 149 rotatable around a rotation axial line 151, and at least one rolling bearing 181 lubricated by a lubricant, which supports the rotor. The rolling bearing has an outer ring 225, an inner ring 227 and a rolling element 229 supported between the outer and inner rings. On the inner side of the outer ring and the outer side of the inner ring, circumferentially extending rolling surfaces 233 for the rolling element 229 are formed. At least one through-hole 235 is provided for extracting the lubricant. The through-hole extends from the rolling surface formed on the outer ring to the outside of the outer ring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
