PURPOSE: To provide a building in device which can automatically build a valve in a cylinder head while aligning a valve stem and a valve guide hole.
CONSTITUTION: A valve built-in robot 3 is provided with a valve chuck 1 capable of being opened or closed for loosely holding the neck part of a valve while directing the extreme end of the valve stem of the valve V downward, and a manipulator 6 reciprocating the valve chuck 1 between the valve on a service pallet on a prescribed position and a cylinder head H on a prescribed position and building the valve in the cylinder head from the upper side. In addition as an aligning means, it is provided with a vacuum nozzle 2 moving under a valve guide hole 12 and sucking open air, and a negative pressure switch 17 detecting pressure lowered under a prescribed value on the way of the piping from the extreme end of the vacuum nozzle to a vacuum pump 16.
