Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the clogging of a trap due to sodium, by providing a flowline for downwardly flowing sodium in contact relation to a support jig for supporting a mesh packing material for collecting sodium vapor.
CONSTITUTION: Cover gas 12 is passed through a mesh 4 from an inlet nozzle 4 and exhausted from an outlet nozzle 6. The sodium vapor in the cover gas 12 is collected by the mesh 4 and flowed to a mesh 15 while flowed down along a support jig 3 to be collected in the bottom part of a pot 7. The accumulated sodium is returned to sodium machinery from a drain nozzle 8 through a drain valve 9. The mesh 4 is held to about 120°C by a heater 11.
