Abstract:

PURPOSE: To exhibit considerable capacity reduction effect over entire rotation area by providing a path open end position modifying unit in first bypath, a path open/close unit in second bypath and a variable capacity throttle unit for suction gas in suction path.

CONSTITUTION: Upon reduction of cooling load to rotate a rotary board to the rotary angle position, the delivery port end of first bypath or a through-hole 66 will move to the position P3 nearest to the delivery port 42 while to communicate second bypath or the through-holes 70, 71. Consequently, compression will start at the position P3 to cause lagging and the through-holes 70, 71 communicated each other will communicate the compression chamber 32 to the suction chamber 34 at the side nearer to the delivery port 42 than said position P3 thus to release a portion of compressed refrigerant gas into the suction chamber 34 and to transfer to small capacity operation. When providing a throttle unit 110 for opening/closing the suction chamber 34 in the front housing 10, capacity reduction effect can be increased as the suction refrigerant gas reduces through the throttle under high speed rotation.
