Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome a such problem that automation by mechanical operation or man power of an operator is required for a picking-up operation when performing arrangement movement and a packing work in a process at a factory for an ink jet kit of a plastic model, hard wiring cables which bundle AV/personal computer equipment, porous or net-like shaped general merchandises such as a metal gauze, a sieve and so on, and industrial products such as a key board, a button type electronic calculator and so on which have a shape such as an aggregate in which many small components are arranged.SOLUTION: An automatic catch and release device, which adopts a tentacle made of a semi-hard resin which has an alphabetical "J" shape as a basic shape, is fitted to an arm tip of a robot arm located at a work station on a line at which it is necessary to pick up an object, and thereby achieving automation. A core of this device exists in a system itself which daringly avoids a mechanical operation which is likely to increase in cost, and catches an object by hitching a tentacle to the object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
