To increase rigidity of the panel by providing a hollow coating by applying on a bead panel or the like and foaming with heat, and to reduce low frequency vibrations of the vehicle body through the vibration damping capability of the material.
This damping material for vehicle body contains a base ingredient composed of one or more type of emulsion/s or latex mixture/s, a fiber type filler and/or an inorganic filler, and a foaming agent as essential ingredients. The emulsion/s or latex mixture/s are selected from synthetic rubber latexes, acrylic resins, and olefin copolymeric resins. For a 100 weight part of the base ingredient, a 50 to 400 weight part of the fiber type filler and/or the inorganic filler is contained. Furthermore, a 0.1 to 10 weight part of the foaming agent is contained for a 100 weight part of the base ingredient.
