Abstract:

To provide a vehicle charging device which receives power supply from the outside of a vehicle to charge a battery, in which it is possible to detect a failure of itself by performing self-diagnosis during travel of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle charging device is provided with: an AC charge connector; an AC-DC conversion part which generates DC voltage for charging a battery from AC voltage input to the AC charge connector; an AC input switch; and a failure diagnostic part. The AC input switch is provided between an output path of the AC voltage from an AC discharge part which receives power supply from the battery to generate the AC voltage to be output to the outside and an input path of the AC voltage from the AC charge connector to the AC-DC conversion part, and the failure diagnostic part inputs the AC voltage generated at the AC discharge part to the AC-DC conversion part, and performs failure diagnosis of an AC charge path from the AC-DC conversion part to the battery by switching the AC input switch from a cutoff state to a connected state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
