To provide a vehicle control device capable of satisfying a waterproofness and heat dissipation together while having a simple structure and a size in compact.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: a heat generation housing; a space which can house them; and a wall surface to which a predetermined gap is provided between the heat generation housing and an outer surface so as to form it, in which the heat generation housing to be housed in the space in an assembling completion state comprises: a surface forming one part of a seal part with a waterproofness; and a surface of a ventilation space. The heat generation housing is a rectangular solid metal case capacitor by one surface where a terminal is provided, and the other surface. In three surfaces stood in other than an open part as using the wall surface forming a space larger than them, the seal part is formed on the side directed to a projection surface. In the projection surface, an open for penetrating the terminal is provided, and the open is set to an assembly completion state by blocking a lid with one surface. In the projection surface, an attachment frame, a positioning part of a metal case capacitor against them, and a packing for reinforcing the lid to be distributed to an open peripheral edge are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
