Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate vehicle congestion within a parking facility by indicating 'full' and 'vacant' based on the actual numbers acceptable for garaging upon inputting operational information of a conveying device and the like on a controlling device of a large scale parking facility equipped with elevators, trucks, and the like.
CONSTITUTION: When a parking ticket is received at an entrance 1 provided with such devices as a 'full' 'vacant' indication device and a ticket issuing machine while the device is showing 'vacant', number of vehicles garaged are counted and the vehicle is taken to a vacant parking space 6 by an elevator 3 and a truck 5. When a vehicle is to leave the facility, the vehicle is let out through an exist 9 by the truck 5 and an elevator 7. In this case, storable number of vehicles at the present point of time is calculated on the basis of information inputted from respective devices in the parking facility, and when number of garaged vehicles have reached the storable number, 'full' indication is displayed at respective sections. When a garaging space can not be used due to an operating condition of the facility or breakdown or the like, a 'full' indication is displayed. Control is accomplished by not only the incoming and outgoing number of vehicles but the actually storable number of vehicles. Thus parking can be carried out smoothly.
